Our mission
Our Mission is to provide fresh, nutritious and tasty meals to those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. We believe a healthy, delicious meal provides practical sustenance and helps people with their wellbeing and outlook on life.
We serve quality meals, using fresh, quality ingredients, that we would enjoy eating ourselves at home.
What we do
Community Canteen volunteers prepare and serve nutritious cooked meals. We serve quality meals that everyone would enjoy eating at home.
In order to provide our meals as a non-profit organisation, we partner with a number of local organisations.
Community Canteen has been a passion of mine for the past five years. There are many people that need help and by providing freshly prepared meals for those that are homeless or at risk is a small gift I can give to make a difference. It is encouraging to see how gratefully our work is received. It is also great to work with the other volunteers - nice to be involved with likeminded people.
